David began his career in the energy industry as a title examiner, which helped him cultivate various skills that are directly applicable to commercial real estate. Reviewing complicated legal documents, identifying potential legal issues, understanding property rights and regulations, and conveying complex information concisely and clearly were all integral parts of being a title examiner.

After departing the energy industry, David spent several years as a commercial property manager and investment analyst for a small real estate investment firm, which provided him with invaluable experience and insight related to financial modeling, risk assessment, negotiation and fostering client relationships. Having an educational background in economics and business has helped David throughout his career by providing him with a foundational knowledge and appreciation for the interplay between monetary policy, macroeconomic conditions and risk analysis.
